RIL will launch its brokerage business this fiscal with reputed international financial firm DE Shaw. I hope this time they will learn from their past mistakes and bring international level of trading platform at affordable price. And if they charge low brokerage (and if not) than Zerodha then I will readily and happily dump the Zerodha and move to them. All I want is featurefull advanced trading platform which consumes less resources, memory and bandwidth and give the facility of trading on both the bourses, NSE and BSE. :)

PS: Have no intention to hurt or taunt so Zerodha fanbois stay away. :)

Only brokers who can succeed here are those who are solely into trading business. All others are wasting their time and our time. Take for example ICICI, their main line is banking , pur their hand into broking and broke all the traders, HDFC secutities, same..the list is long..

No need of high speed internet for backoffice...

BSE should take a month atleast

I am unable to login to backoffice login page from your home page. When i click backoffice login icon in ur homepage though i directed to new page but that page remains blank. I contacted zerodha and they went through my problem then said that they have sorted it out, but my problem was not sorted. I called back again then they again checked it and said that my net connection is slow.
I don't understand what the problem is all about.

@Zerodha,

Like NSE NOW, Bombay Stock Exchange also has it's own platform called FastTrade. Are you planning to provide it to us?

As it is mentioned in BSE website, that BSE provides it free of cost to it's members.
You can't have different softwares for different exchanges... Once we go live on BSE, you will have NSE, BSE and MCX all available on one trading platform...

Don't have great hopes from this JV. They will probably charge a hefty brokerage and give you some crappy expensive trading platform. Of course, if what I say proves wrong, I will be more than happy to join them. :)

We call it Free-Will, every person has a choice...I understand it is not a taunt, but words like dump are usually used for taunts..

A Typical Indian client is pretty demanding,

1. Most advanced trading platform..
2. It has to be advanced, but has to consume less resources and work on 256kbps data card connection..
3. Has to have the best charting features, but has to work on a pirated version of operating system.
4. If a big popular corporate doesn't answer a query for 15 days it is alright, but a mid size firm has to work even on Sundays and holidays..
5. Reliance broking business probably committed the biggest broking crimes possible, you could ask an ex client( I am one too ;) ) ... But because it is reliance, we want to give them a second chance...
6. What else am I missing?? hmm... oh yeah, the charges still has to be the lowest possible in the country..

If you get a broker who suffices all of the above, you definitely should dump whichever the broker you are trading with and move over to the one....

Can you leave me a an offline message with your client id, will call you back on this...

I think that with newer discount brokers arriving, the customers won't "dump" their existing broker, but maybe add on the new one and take advantage of whatever the scheme of the moment.

Integrity of the trading platform will then become paramount, as the costs climb down. So far, NOW has established a good rep (since the clients have learned to use it along with another charting s/w :)). Maybe if NEST combines the charts with the speed of NOW, it will be a winner for the users.

Ultimately the clients will go with whoever helps them trade better. I can see discount brokers start to offer "tips" too, and in-depth analyses etc.
