i get a strange feeling that on monday, there could be a good reduction in these ridiculous premiums after the exit polls some out on sunday.
it's just an observation . i am now personally not buying any options. as i am not sure of the situation. after a very long gap( many years ) i am trading in index futures. i had gone short on bank at 062 and am covering it now at 20. i want to sonserve my trading for the time being

Vega tracks IV. There is nothing that tracks inflated prices in options. You can calculate theoretical price and compare it to the actual but for that you will need the IV as an input. which is not readily available...VIX is not a greek

volatility will increase till 23rd may, not decrease. so option premium should not reduce as exit polls are no guarantee for final results.

Strange to see the instrument : but cannot buy it as zerodha has blocked such far trades .. but the qty keeps changing in seconds @ 60.80

Just to give a rough idea based on BS calc used by NSE itself

Normally, around range of 16-22 depending on certain news that keeps flowing but peaks I have seen just 1 day before event twice were in the zones of 55 so we can imagine the room left for the ATM IV yet

Edit: that like inr.15-16 per 1% increase in IV
