I fear one day corona will be out of all other countries and India will keep struggling with it year after year... 1. due to huge population, and 2. more important due to lack of healthcare facility
People are irresponsible in western countries as well, when UK was in lockdown there were crowd going to beaches and mountain for holidays. Even y'day there were holiday goers in US 40 of them got corona when they were on spring break.
Whenever vaccine is found, western world will vaccinate all its people (due to low population and higher medical resources) , India will be left behind just like in case of small pox, polio etc..
Sadly TP bhai, it would take atleast 18 to 25 years to even reach the levels the more advanced countries have already been at, given a "business as is scenario" now. Our healthcare spend as % of GDP is woeful. We only spend about less than 1.5% every year and that is telling now.
Healthcare should not be a budget expense but rather an investment in the lives of the people of country. We will need a mammoth effort continuously for the next 18 to 20 years to reach those levels.
So, healthcare will become a focus area for us, and probably the whole world. Maybe our budget allocation won't rise as rapidly, but suppose France raises its budget allocation, it will need to import the goods and services.
