Day Trading Stocks & Futures

Another fantastic day for trend traders on the BNF :)

I wonder how traders doing short strangles/delta neutral trades are managing.. with the calls literally exploding! @SarangSood
Hi @MaxX . An option writer has to be dynamic and fluid enough to change his strategy when the market demands it. Otherwise it would be way to easy for anyone to make money on their investments. Since a short strangle is always maintained delta neutral, it can survive trending days but not volatility. For example like you said the cals were exploding today. So a strangle can be converted into a cal leg where all the puts will be converted into a higher delta cal. It all depends on the market conditions and the adjustment accordingly.

A writer shouldn't be confused with just a short strangle player. Successful writers are those who make consistent money on their investments with variety of strategies.

the RBI is likely not comfortable with the recent surge in the rupee. The central bank has announced a buy-sell swap aimed at infusing liquidity into the system and capping upside in the INR.

Under the plan, the RBI will snap up 5 billion dollars on 26 March for a period of three years and reverse the transaction sales at pre-determined rates via auction.
