I am not sure why banks made extending tenure the default option.

greed that is all... even in this situation bank wants to make more money ...
Many people were unaware of the penality ...tenure exetention and excess intrest they have to pay as a result of moratorium of loan emi...
People should have been given a choice ...people with real problem should opt for it ...rest should not
also blame RBI which pushed banks so hard for the moratorium ...
