No strategy in particular. I would like to invest 75% at 6400 and rest 25% below 5000 (if it comes). And sit tight for a decade.
fair enough, if that is what u think.

But practical systems don't work like that.
The surest way is to average down and up.
What if mkt turned from 6500 and never came to your level.
how many times we see this even on shorter TF.

infact, if ur holding period is a decade, imagine the returns, and try figure out how much of diff it made if avg entry cost is 6400 or 7400.
Hardly anything.

More important imo is stock selection among other things.
Being fixated to specific levels in my view is more riskier than investing itself. that's all.
We can get lucky, but we can never time the top or bottom consistently. ( from mkt wizards )

I am very bad in stock selection. I focus more on niftybees.
