I feel delicate to ask this question, because it must have been asked earlier,
and that too repeatedly. Still, can't search through several pages.. :(

What is the brokerage charged for Options? I think 1ps% won't apply to this
and a flat rate of Rs.20 is charged per trade?

Thanks..
actually murthy it is 0.01% or Rs 20 whichever is lower... But 0.01% of the contract turnover.. .So if you are buying 5000 calls at Rs 50, the turnover would be (5000+50)*50 = 252500 and 0.01% of this or Rs 20 whichever is lower...

Cheers..

I trade one mini ie 20, but i trade it throughout the day 6-7 times , in a day generally i trade 120-140 in total

i read that they charge 20 rs for each executed trade

in their brokerage cal the break even for each trade is coming 2.84

but one thign i dint understood

Stamp Duty is charged at 0.01% or Rs. 50 per contract note - whichever is lower.

is it charged on per trade or on the eod contract note

i mean if i do 20 mini or 200 mini the stamp duty will be same ie 50 rs ?

is the break even correct for me , please advise

i need to make minimum 3 pts per lot right ?

Can someone please post the breakeven points for various lots (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 etc) of nifty according to the new brokerage structure that includes stamp duty also.

The query below was posted on another thread. http://www.traderji.com/amibroker/57979-best-nifty-strategy-must-read-168.html#post612592
Hi FF,

Visit our homepage and click on the brokerage calculator... Exact charges that you will see on the contract note...

Stamp duty is Rs 50/day no matter how many lots you do...

Breakeven works out b/w 2.2 to 1.3 points per lot based on how many lots you are buying at a time...

Hope this helps...

Cheers...

@rahul, stamp duty is calculated on an eod basis...So whatever was the turnover during the day, you pay only a max of Rs 50 as stampduty, no matter how many lots you have bought and sol...

Yes, no matter 20 or 200 mini, you pay only Rs 50...

@rahul, if you are an active trader, you probably trade multiple times during the day...

In this case, stamp duty as i said earlier is fixed at 50...

Apart from this Rs 50, if you buy 1 lot of mininifty the breakeven is 2.4 points, if you buy 200 nifty, it is 1.6 points..

Hopefully it clarifies...
