Re: General Trading Chat

In a separate thread, can you tell us more about this disease ?? just in case if any of our near and dear is afflicted, it would be better to be informed about it.

Also, medical science is always improving, many myths about TB, HIV etc.. have been debunked. I remember the time when there used to be separate TB sanatoriums far away from the populated locations. Now there are simpler AKT/DOTS protocols.
TB is the next mahamari India is and would be facing. Guys always be careful if someone lower down the social ladder is coughing nearby you. If you are having a bad day you might get the bacteria. Remember India has developed a incurable strand of TB bacteria if you are affected by that there is no cure. Again move to the mountains the air is much better there.

Re: General Trading Chat

Traders should not neglect health in persuit of wealth and success. Our health is our most important asset and we have to take regular exercise, follow good diet, eat on time, take proper sleep,do yogabhyas and meditation.

We have to lead a balanced life.So spend quality time with family, take them out on weekends, for shopping, have friends .Trading is a lonely profession, here we don't have social interaction but we can have that after trading hours and weekends.Do some social work for the underprivileged members of our society. All these are stress relievers.

Any amount of wealth is of no use if one is not having good health and healthy and relaxed mind.

Da, the problem is, I think, most of us, after seeing those colorful easy breezy charts, jumped into this thinking it can't be that difficult :) and won't take that long to learn. We did not know how deep the water was :D and then we are caught in this chakravyuh from which it takes a looong time to escape.

well that's an emotional post indeed.
I m also not doing regular exercise and have recently experienced heavy stress due to backtesting strategies. so abruptly stopped all trading related activity and took more than a month break.

so lesson is that physical exercise must be started.
BTW your guidance will always be needed.
thanks
All the best !!

I see that many young traders eat their lunch after the market closes ie at 3:30,This is bad as there is a large gap between the food intake. One must have heavy breakfast in the morning before market opens, then a light lunch at 12:30 to 1:00 sitting at the terminal,In between at 11:00 have a fruit, then tea and buiscuits at 3:30,some light snacks at 5:30 and light dinner with milk in the night. Our health depends a lot on what we eat. There should not be a gap of over 4 hours in between the two food times.Eat lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables, salads, fruit juices.Avoid fried food like samosas, junk food,bread....simple chapati/ paratha with Sabzi is a great breakfast along with idlies, omelettes with yellow portion removed. We must balance between proteins and carbohydrates, avoid sweets....occasional indulgence is ok.

Eat breakfast like a king and dinner like a beggar.
