But if we shoft SAR lower like that;
A gradual and continuous PIVOT LOW formation like this will shift us to any lower point right?
See below what I mean.

PIVOT LOW Formation @ 3857 -> Shifit SAR to 3857-15 = 3842 ?
PIVOT LOW Formation @ 3843 -> Shifit SAR to 3840-15 = 3828 ?
PIVOT LOW Formation @ 3830 -> Shifit SAR to 3820-15 = 3815 ?
PIVOT LOW Formation @ 3817 -> Shifit SAR to 3857-15 = 3802 ?
and so on...

Yes Hari...you are right. We have to gradually lower our stops, beyond what we risked initially.

But then also have a risk stop in such cases.(This is my personal interpretation...certainly not as per current system). What I do is, if I have risked 1% in the trade...and if pivots move lower, as in your example....I dont go beyond a point where my risk exceeds 2%. Of course, gaps are not included, where we maintain our stops at low of the gap 1st 5 min low-15...otherwise I plan to do what i wrote here.

Though havent faced such situation either in real trades or in backtests.

Also don't we need some rules to stop that?

Position Start Date: 30-Sept-2008
LONG Since : 3904
Stop Loss:3863 - 15 = 3848
Profit/Loss in Current Trade = 3848-3904 = -56 Points

We change our Position to SHORT if NIFTY Trades below :3848

I don't think nifty will allow us to add today ................

Dear Hari we learnt this from Saint again we have practical experience in past and we lowered our stop and remain in the flow could not remember the exact trade date but i fully remember that we have practicaly done it in past with Saint
