Yes Bank acquired 12% stake yesterday by invoking pledged shares. I didn't understand what do they mean by saying invocation of pledged shares.
Does it mean that Yes Bank sold entire 12% stake in open market or they just transferred the shares to their company name?
Experienced investors can throw some light on this

Banks have special power that they can get the pledged shares transferred in their name ( banks name ) if the person pledging shares defaults on payment of banks dues. So the bank gets it transferred to their name and then may sell to recover the money due to them....
