Mechanically, how well does re-entry work, or what criteria do you consider for it ?
how fast is it? can you re-enter the next bar say on 3-5m tf?
ofc it depends on the trading system but lets say, specifically yours.
Since i don't manage trade aggressively and let my stops get hit, rentry does not make sense to me and hence i have not tested it. Adds on new signals work with similar edge so that can also be rentry signal.
Any time i try to test an aggressive trail on my system ( for all trades right from entry) i get a large drop in performance. This depends on system ofc, i have seen CT setups where trail-as-price-moves does help.

Perhaps it can work with discretion and perhaps it will need rentry too once shaken out ..
For discretionary style, best thing to do would be to just follow plan and create a log of decent number of trades and then check the edge - backtest/forwardtest. And avoid the itch to keep changing plan based on last x trades ..
