similar situation is for Nifty, top 3 is 30%, top 5 , 42%

kotak and icici have nearly the same mkt cap.
So together these 3 used to move BN.

Actually hdfcbank is twice icici. the docs are old, see based on daily mkt cap.

index is based on “free float” kotak is low bcos most shares are held by promotors

We can see hdfcbank is 10.5
Icici-6, kotak 4.5. This is what i meant. ( almost equal weightage. )

2X-1X-1X.

so if you extrapolate to BN, you'll get the same results.

don't know on date of that doc but I think numbers are ok.

even kotak and icici having near same market cap... I am not sure on this. I do see these numbers now n then but don't remember seeing them equal. or may be i forgot.
