Thanks for the reply. how does one judge whether there would be movement in index futures. I believe it is due to the stocks itself. Still would keep open my options. Thanks again...

still didn't have guts to play long....I don't want to short pe also as it's highly risky.
any suggestion how should I start playing long...you went thru same phase....

Try with 1 lot of slight OTM options. You wont have fear to loose. Just to gain confidence and start upping your position after a fixed trade / profit.

I did that , might not be suitable or relevant for everyone . Just my thought.

Index move due to select few stocks. either you keep watching 10 stocks which could move Index in either direction. Or look for stocks which are going to break up or down and trade Future contract.
