Another Bhavcopy Downloader (ABCD)

I'm downloading bhavcopies manually and formatting them via ABCD ,.. And i dont mind doing it

NSE website is in upgrade mode for ages now.

Previously also, they had problems with direct downloads and needed referrer URL from reports homepage.

Two "Curl.exe" options are needed, -e for Referrer and -L for follow redirection.

From their original URL with www, it auto-redirects to www1 which should then work fine. will test and update here.

Crude way I had replaced all the www with www1 in the abcdcurl.r file.For now it is working for indices and NSE Cash. FnO still giving issues.


Edit : For FNO at line no 210 there is a url which shows only "https://nseindia/" change it to www1.nseindia.Fno shoud work. Attaching the ABCDCurl.txt . Rename it to ABCDCurl.r and then copy it in the ABCD folder.


Further Edit : This Crude of a hack job is downloading recent days FnO data. Still issues with historical FnO data. Will further check.

Update : date range is working from 2016 Jan onwards, previous years getting error.

1. paste nse/bse .csv zip files in the respective folders of installed ABCD
2. Open latest ABCDcurl given by Josh1 Ji
3. 'Processed downloaded file' should be highlighted including concerned exchange.
4. Click on download button below and the file will be processed.

IMO, ABCD installation files and process has been messed up, with so many edits and updates
It will be good, if someone post (naye sire se) the installation folder/files, incorporating all, in this weekend

all things are going good...
only change is replace <www.nse> to <www1.nse>

in derivative section:
NseDer_Url: rejoin ["curl -k -f --url https://nseindia.com/content/historical/DERIVATIVES/"

change to

NseDer_Url: rejoin ["curl -k -f --url https://www1.nseindia.com/content/historical/DERIVATIVES/"


all downloads will happen..

Please the immediate back postings of Joshj Ji and do accordingly. Abcd shortcut and abcd curl shortcut both are different.
