Here is the gotcha:

Old NSE site is now called >>>> www1.nseindia.com ( all historic bhavcopy paths now ref www1 )
New NSE site is >> beta.nseindia.com

So, the old .r files needs a URL update to get it fixed.

days wud not be same in future for retail traders . heard that for intraday ,brokers may want full amount .so no levarage for even cash intra and free downloader stopping download even paid have some problem. so say bye bye

working for some and not working for some
bahut confusion hai.

there is no data section in new website like bhavcopy etc. i think eod data wud gradually become paid

new site has the file of bhavcopy and indices etc but url is different. if the change the url of data files then it will be solved

NSE website is in upgrade mode for ages now.

Previously also, they had problems with direct downloads and needed referrer URL from reports homepage.

Two "Curl.exe" options are needed, -e for Referrer and -L for follow redirection.

From their original URL with www, it auto-redirects to www1 which should then work fine. will test and update here.

it is intentional from nse to block free downloader but they always says that they are backing small traders but actually not. realtime data price is high enough and now they ant eod data tobe paid for all . jst have to change main url to www1 but how long that url will last ?.
