yes there will be false breakouts but most of them can be avoided using trendlines after adx gone below 25. Off course nothing is 100% sure in markets vivekji. The probability of catching good trending stocks with this setup is good and thats what matters in the end.

Note: The period you mentioned price broke out but never closed above previous swing high.

Vivek ji just consider it an experiment and try plotting TDST on 3 day charts and please post what Nifty and BankNifty are indicating whenever you find time.

Thanks

You are 100% correct, everything fails once in a while, and your system looks very promising, with huge one directional moves when it catches to perfection. I only asked this to better understand how you would avoid such false starts, and you answered it on the money.
Thanks n please keep posting.
Happy Trading

manoj ji excellent chart in simple way .....
Bearish regular Divergence in IOC spot Weekly chart .....
yes divergence is there which indicates its time to book profits if you are long. As ADX is going below 25 there will be no trend, price too indicate range, so someone if shorts due to divergence it will be a low probability trade and if taken must be a scalp.

As a guideline remember the order we follow in the system:

TD Buy/Sell Setup Complete + Check for Perfection + TD Buy/Sell Countdown Complete + Check for qualifiers (Optional) = TD Sequential System

A reference table of the concept
Vivek Bro,
Are TD countdown and TD setup almost the same except setup up is looking at close 4 price bars earlier and count down at close 2 bars earlier without the time limit?

In setup we compare close of a bar with the close 4 bars earlier, in buy setup the close of bar should be less than close 4bars earlier, this relationship should continue for atleast 9 consecutive bars.
Once we have a setup completed, we look for intersection that can occur earliest at bar 8.
After intersection is in place we can start countdown, starting earliest from bar 9 (assuming intersection took place at 8 or 9).
In CD, we compare close of a bar with low or high (depending upon buy or sell CD) of 2bars earlier.
So in a buy setup we compare close of a bar with low of a bar 2bars earlier i.e. close of a bar should be lower than equal to 2 bars earlier.
They need not be consecutive.
