Dear Subhadeep, please have a look at chart below:

Its yesterday visual sideways, today gap open below VPL, as per rule we should enter long over VPH, Please comment as per IDF where our entry should be?

Daily nifty in downtrend....

5 min chart.
Downtrend..in Daily, hourly, etc.

Gap down opening, as per IDF, go long above the minor pivot high.(also first bar high in today's case)

Thanks for replying, but I have one query:
Could you explain why you selected this minor pivot for going long.
I can't relate to any of the IDF rules which lists this entry.

Follow this way:
Downtrend,
now gap down.
Now price not moved much low of the first bar low.
now slowly going up.
a minor pivot.
mPH.

go long above that mPH.
