I am a newbie to trading with 3 months demo forex experience
and i had been following the stock market carefully for the last 2 month.

I want to open a account with approx 1-1.5lac capital

I am more of an technical trader with few knowledge on the fundamentals

I am primarily looking to trade in 1lot NIFTY futures and may be the few future contracts.

I want good charting n low brokerage..

Please members guide me as this is a very important decision.

Any help will be highly appreciated

THANK YOU

Yeah, that's a good option, charting with SK (they probably have one of the best "on-board" charting going around) & trading with Zerodha.....but bear in mind that Zerodha's real advantage comes into the picture only when we trade many NIFTIES in bulk but since you wish to buy/sell 1 NIFTY at a time, it may warrant a cost-benefit-analysis & then see where it leads you. But one thing is for certain though that Zerodha's Customer-Care will be better than most brokers.

Again, since you want to buy/sell only one lot at a time, you may even consider RKGlobal as they offer Rs.9/lot.......BUT.....you should first go through the following thread in order to reach an informed decision :)

first of all thank you for replying

yes.i know that zerodha is beneficial for heavy lot traders
but with sharekhan assuming 0.03% brokerage per lot its comes to 220round trip

with zerodha it comes to around 165
with rk global its round 90

as far as i read in traderji with zerodha we can trade with more margin money.i dont know whether i am right.please clarify my doubt

being 1st time investor i want good customer service too

i read execution time with rk global's ODIN also takes more time n sometime they face delays on huge volume trading days

how is the charting with ODIN?

sometimes i may trade with 2lots of nifty also then i guess zerodha;s pricing will come close to rk globals

is it true we have to pay monthly for ODIN software charges for rk global?

i am quite confused as i am working all by myself

any reply will be appreciated

thank you new-bie trader for replying

can u tell me your personal experience with any of this brokerage?

Yeah, Zerodha would cost you something like that........BUT only for the first return-trip of the day (assuming NIFTY at around about 5000), after that though, single-lot return-trips no.2nd, 3rd,.... etc would cost about 115 or so which is pretty close to RKG anyway.

As for RKG margins, a little old posts but serve the purpose -

Can anybody share what is the margin requirement of RK global to trade in one lot of Nifty?
Approx.30k (either Intraday or positional.)
Yes, they do charge high charges for Odin on a monthly basis (other than Rs.99/segment that is :() & it can act a little weird for some people sometimes & charting isn't as good as Sharekhan's......even though it's a long thread, I think you should just skim through this thread at the least to get the whole picture -

As far as FREE charting is concerned , no one will come near to Sharkhan's
TradeTiger with exception of PoweBulls of IndiaBulls.
