Not sure about permanently, as restaurants keeps coming and going as per the fads and taste for food. In the 2000's there was a taste for manchurian chicken and gobi manchuri, but that can change overtime. The less profitable will shut shop and later on ... new restaurants will spring up.

Currently due to the ongoing pandemic, many students and working class have gone to their hometowns and eat home cooked food rather than restaurant food.

Slowdown in travel , hospitality, food business in inevitable in the short run.

I have been wondering about my reaction to this. I am concerned that the mosquitoes are just guinea pigs. In future the scientists may be employed for selective culling of the undesirable humans.
