Reliance say it is a settlement reached under French legal framework ,which is available to any company doing business with France ,because the demands made were wrong.Indian Defence Ministry has clarified that settlement with French authorities and Rafale deal have no relation with each other.

We should give more credibility to our Ministry of Defence clarification than some media report appearing in French Media....

bhai, but as ST sir said, we should not doubt our Ministry of Defense. If they have given clean chit and say there is no corruption, then it means there has been no corruption. It might be just a case of a mere coincidence. Modi Ji government cannot get involved into such corrupt practices, specially in the matters of Nation's Defense. This news article might be a paid news from opposition parties, who knows ? Let us not doubt the character and integrity of great leader like Modi Ji. There would be more such fake news coming out during the election times.

You seem to have more faith on French Media than our Ministry of Defence official statement. The dues claimed earlier could be wrongly calculated as claimed by Reliance ( Anil Ambani ) .

Anil Ambani Group is a sinking ship from a long time.They are finding difficult to pay their dues and in such circumstances no politician will back them as they stand to gain nothing....politicians are smart people, they dont back a losing horse which will not be of any help to them....

But we cannot rely on any foreign local newspaper reports. There are so many local newspapers in those countries. Anyone can get paid news planted into such newspapers by paying little bribe, just to create drama in the Indian media. No ?

Right, we can't, whichever way it maybe biased - whether for the government or for the opposition. The problem is that the public and the media generally tends to beat upon whatever goes with their personal views.

All I meant in my post was that where corruption related matters are concerned, it is a matter of the Vigilance department and the other anti-corruption agencies, rather than the military

reliance adag's media company had produced film for first lady of france (although through production firm owned by them with 50% stack).

In India surprisingly no one asks for proof for 2g/3g scam, no one goes to jail. but for Rafale case everyone wants proof of Ambani's involvement!

Ministry of Defence is not a trusted clean source either. Over 70 years its' tented to core by several defence procurement deals. You can't change their behaviour in 4-5 years. Unfortunately as in all other scams in India (incl Coal, 2G, 3G, CWG or rafale ) truth will never come out and no one will be jailed either. Even if there is jail term like in Chara Ghotala, politicians will still be running country from Jail through proxy (Rabari devi... anyone..)

Bhai, ministry of defence comes under politicians and could be corrupt. They are formed by bunch of bureaucrats. Defence personals don't run ministry.
