On TV news it is being talked why cash not provided instead of food grains and pulses...

Bitter truth is:
Many poor will try to spend on toxic items rather than ensuring food to all the family members, if cash is paid. Majority of the poor are habituated to spend as and when cash is made available without bothering much about the basic needs for the whole family.

now analysts, who wanted big fat bonus, didnt get it... will come on TV and bash govt saying, it will take long, overnight what they will do... garib is hungry... net result, mkt cools off

Govt is going to empty its warehouses of stuff that it bought last year or so and give it ppl and buy new one from farmers with MSP .

You are right..Else it may become a major law and order issue at some point of time. The government has to think all the possibilities and decide appropriately.

It was my reply to a specific comment..please don't generalise it.
Further, please note that Cash is also being paid through direct cash transfer to the needy in addition to issue of food grains.
