Day Trading Stocks & Futures

@afin : How are you.. no posts from u quite a while.. did you benefit on fridays trading ?
Hey @Raj232! I have been taking a break from nifty and bank nifty trading for a while now. Been on a study break of sorts fine tuning my strategy. So didn't trade on friday :) I have been however following the forum once in a while.

How have you been? Actively trading man?

Have been studying markets since four years (when I was 24). Banknifty weekly options got my attention somewhere around August 2016. I believe BN weekly options were introduced during mid 2015 (please correct me if I am wrong). But yes, BN or no BN, I have been observing NIFTY options since 2015. But now I have zero interest in Nifty options. I believe they are boring and sheer time waste. :)
I still think compared to BN options, Nifty options offer a more steadier and daily income flow :) but again, this is based on my trading style and convictions.

Here we go, my first trade for today. Bought ONIONS 25 CE (June expiry) around 24. Target is 30. Stop Loss 21. Will look to sell before 3:30 PM today. Markets can move big today during second half. Please suggest if I should hold ONIONS till tomorrow or should I cook them and make bhaaji?? Thanks

I'm doing good. Not very actively trading, doing some night shifts at office and lack of sleep for the last 2-3 months. So trading has been in a hurry and few small losses and gains.. so overall been just flat. Will be taking a short break of 2 weeks .. company training for new work coming in .. will study some more and fine tune trading :)

Guys... Has anybody ever traded with straddles in FUTURES? Please share your experience. I want to eagerly try but still have some questions in mind. The biggest query is: Should one buy current month's Futures & sell next month's Futures simultaneously? Or if one should sell current month's Futures & buy next month's Futures? I believe changes in FUTURES Discount & Premium will play a crucial role too. Please suggest. Thanks
This would give 6 - 10% on monthly basis. Super profits cannot be expected, but sometimes when current month Futures is in deep discount then this might be handy :)

Hahaha.... Never mind. It was just a prank. Moral of the story of this failed prank is: "Mehengaayi ki maar hum sabko padti jaa rahi hai. Dheere dheere ..... Holi holi" ....

But Banknifty traders ke liye mehengaayi is not an issue. They earn a lot. Fir chaahe onion 25 se 25000 kyun na ho jaaye.

I agree. One may get ample time to ENTER and EXIT in Nifty options. Whereas in BN trades, flow is usually so fast that it becomes difficult to catch the trades on some days.

But dont forget compared to Nifty, Banknifty is अद्भुत अविश्‍वसनीय अकल्‍पनीय :DD
However, I would recommend Nifty on any normal day because that is more stable with stable profits :)
