all the NF and BNF pro traders ....

is 15 point Sl considered good or bad for BNF on average ?
should i increase / decrease ?
My 2 cents:
1. The more volatile a scrip, the higher ur TF.
Volatile is both in % movements and point wise.
So. for something at 21k, it doesn't move like a Inr. 250-500 type scrip in 10-20 paise.

2. 15pt on wil get whipped most of the time unless in a strong trending move which in this jhand mkt is rare.

3. If you're trying to scalp, slippage/non-fill may be another problem.

Get a system where you can predefine entries and then 20-25pt will be good for a 5m TF which works for me.

Listen and act, don't ask it, it doesn't oblige
Goss, was so much focussed into Crude, did not look at DJIS. Just saw and got a heart attack and later realised it was nothing but Fool's system trigger from 50 EMA (daily chart) - worked like a charm.

And you also can spot the bounce from 20 EMA (Indigo) - and see the return. This thing works for all indices across the globe, regardless what we feel (oh market overbought, gonna tank)

Gen funda of BNF..
IMO...

In bnf for 3m 30pt SL, 2 min 20pt, 1 min 12-15pt seems reasonable..
Trading with the trend which followed by most, need bigger SL as above..as price can retrace first b4 start moving in a favourable direction.

But very difficult to trade 1m even for a pro.. unless a scalper..
min 2 min is advisable, 3min good, 5 min best for intraday. For 5 m SL 40pt.

Note SL is not fixed.. Most of cases we need to trail it.. better if manually..
Partial booking advisable with fixed SL..

-------
Exceptional cases..
SL depends on method/indicators too. If traders using Sup Res/Pivot Level based method, then they can keep smaller SL.

no .. no one can become rich overnight in stock trading ... casinos .. its different thing .. :)

aggressive because .. i think i need to scale up .. i have traded a fixed quantity
with obvious change when in consecutive loss ..

and also because NF/BNF are always liquid .. if my entries are wrong then loss = 40*20 = -800 .. that i am ok with it ..or even -1600.

I am not trading FNO stocks because I cant take 6000 or 3000 loss at 1 go ..

1000 -2000 Q as of now i am comfortable ..

Ok.Then test BNF for just a week using your method.
If you are 10k down, pls leave it and stick with EQ only.
