transfer of shares after closing of Demat account

Hi all

Posting a new thread as I was not able to find anything on the forum like this

My father had an ICICI demat account which he closed around 2013.

Now we have started receiving dividend for a few shares we didn't know we hold.

Now that the account has been closed but there are apparently some shares that we still hold, hoe can I transfer or sell these shares.

Even the dividend cheque that we receive is made to an account that has been closed so we are not able to deposit that also


Please suggest a resolution for this
