Sold 1 lot NIFTY 10500 PE @67. This is a hedge for 10500 CE.

Credit = around 5K

Total credit = 9+5 = 14 K

Made below adjustments.

Buy 1 lot NF 10500 PE @16
Sell 2 lots NF 10600 PE @ 41

credit = around 5K
Total credit = 14 + 5 = 19 K

Current open positions in this trade:

Short 1 lot NF 10500 CE
Short 2 lots NF 10600 PE

Will keep them open if NF is in 10500 - 10700 range.

Hi Amrutham...I have been following your thread for a couple of weeks and I must say I am glad to hear your story. It is truly inspiring to hear it from someone who has really made the leap.

BTW.. the adjustments that you made, are you trying to maintain a delta or do you operate out of a directional bias? I am asking this because the previous position was a little bullish

I take all my weekly BN positions with the asssumption of BN being in a range of 400 -500 points for that week. If it stays in that range, my positions will start giving profits. If it is very volatile and moves out of that range, I try to make adjustments to minimize the loss.

For this week my BN range expectation was 24800 - 25300. Hence took 2 positions based on this range.

Historic values of BN range I check here.

Sell BN 25200 CE 560 Qty @ 49
Buy BN 25300 CE 280 Qty @ 29

Net debit = 107- 98 = 9*280 = 2.5K

Best way to learn is take a piece of paper and write down what will be the effect of these trades on Expiry day if BNF expires at different levels like 25050,25100,25150,25200,25250,25300 and above say 25350.....

Smart-trade

Here is PL for this trade based on closing price on expiry day. Please note that I will not be keeping this trade open until expiry. If i get a profit of around 5-10 K any time I will close this, otherwise will try to atleast make it break-even.

BN <= 25100 : 2.5K Loss
BN @ 25150 : 11.5K Profit
BN @ 25200 : 25.5K Profit
BN @25250 : 11.5K Profit
BN >=25300 : 2.5K Loss

As ST mentioned, try to calculate these yourself on paper/excel sheet, you will get better understanding.
