Suggest Mutual Funds for different time horizons

Need suggestion for best mutual fund schemes :

1) For Dad who has primarily invested in FDs till now but now feels he has saved enough to take care of his requirements after retirement. He will get pension after retirement & medical needs will also be taken care of by the dept.

He is willing to invest in mutual funds with a time horizon of 3-5 years.

2) For Mom with a time horizon of 5 years or more.

3) For myself (no dependents) with a time horizon of more than 10 years.

Burning some midnight oil, here are a few schemes I have shorlisted today.

For Dad:

ICICI pru focused bluechip fund (LC)
UTI opppurtunities fund (LC)


For Mom:

Birla Sun LIfe frontline equity (LC)
IDFC Premier equity (S&MC)
ICICI PRu discovery (S&MC)

For myself :

Franklin India BLuechip (LC)
HDFC Midcap Oppurtunities (S&MC)
SBI Emerging business fund (S&MC)
IDFC Premier Equity (S&MC)
Reliance equity oppurtunies fund (Diversified)

Would like suggestions on what more can be added or which must be left out from the above .
