My problem is that I am not able to calculate the brokerage in icici direcr. 1. they said if the min trade value is Rs. 6000 or so(not mentioning exactly) they will charge Rs. 35 or 2.5 of the brokerage which is less. 2. they are charging me 0.55 % for delivery. 3. On trading of Rs. 497 they took Rs. 12.44 which is 2.5 %.(I am satisfied) 4. Now on Rs. 2190 they charged Rs. 35. I exaclty want to know on what basis they calculate.

Are you serious about trading with icici?? For Rs 497, you should have paid only Rs 0.05 and for 2190 only Rs 0.21 ... Check out Zerodha, you pay 0.01% or Rs 20 whichever is lower... Icici is a loot, by the time you have learnt trading, you would have paid a lot of brokerage...
