China deployed 60,000 soldiers at LAC…

After the Quad grouping in Tokyo, Mike Pompeo gave three interviews during which he spoke of China's "bad behaviour", and said the "tide's begun to turn"

Addressing the “threat” China poses to the Quad nations, United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the country has deployed 60,000 soldiers at its border with India. He also said India “absolutely need the United States to be their ally and partner in this fight”.

Foreign ministers from the Quad countries — the US, India, Australia and Japan — met in Tokyo on Tuesday for the first in-person talks since the pandemic began. On his return to the US, Pompeo gave three interviews during which he spoke of China’s “bad behaviour”, and said the “tide’s begun to turn”.

“I was with my foreign minister counterparts from India, Australia, and Japan… four big democracies, four powerful economies, four nations, each of whom has real risk associated with the threats attempting to be imposed by the Chinese Communist Party. And they see it in their home countries too,” he said on The Guy Benson Show.

He then told Larry O’ Connor, “But they’ve all seen it, whether it’s the Indians, who are actually having a physical confrontation with the Chinese up in the Himalayas in the northeastern part of India, the Chinese have now begun to amass huge forces against India in the north.”

So are you looking for lower prices when growth rate will reach parity with prices, or staying away from PSUs as a matter of general policy? (From long term pov)
Difficult to do bottom fishing here. A lot of good companies may not translate into a good scrip. e.g. Vijaya Bank.

After major outage, power supply restored in some areas of Mumbai
Mumbai power cut: Authorities also cautioned citizens against a reduced water supply. "There will be reduced water supply or no supply. So a request to use water judiciously," a statement by a BMC corporator read.

After an hour of massive power outage in several parts of Mumbai, electricity supply was gradually restored in a few areas, including Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, Churchgate in South Mumbai and Mumbra in Thane on Monday afternoon. Efforts are underway to resume services in other affected locations.

Business and daily life in the financial capital as well as train services in several areas came to a grinding halt this morning after a failure in the central grid of TATA Power at Kalwa hit Adani and BEST electricity distribution services in the city. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had said that it would take “45 min to 1 hour to restore the supply”.

“Mumbai Suburban trains on CR held up due to grid failure. We will update ASAP. Kindly bear with us,” the public relations office of the central railway said. On Central Railway, trains are not running between CSMT and Diva; while on Western Railway, trains are stopped between Churchgate and Vasai.

After many years there has been a major power outage. This shows the state of the infrastructure in Mumbai. .. not a good sign !!!

Not really. Once in a blue moon doesn't mean bad infra. Regular outage means bad infra. Once in a blue moon happens everywhere.

It is the state of drainage during the monsoons that shows bad infra.
