General Trading Chat

Every bank website has all its charges mentioned under "schedule of charges". I am not aware that any bank is charging extra for deposit through CDM.

If you are unable to find schedule of charges, mention the bank name.
It seems that Axis bank had or has such charges.

The whole list of charges is quite convoluted and confusing.

But looking in detail you will find it here on page 2

I don't know if the other banks have it too. If so, the customers should know it exactly.

All charges are there except STT. Because ETFs are not securities.
Thanks. So, if using Sharekhan, there would be Rs. 23.6 as "delivery handling charges". Maybe if a trader buys/sells 100 units, it would come down to 10 paisa. If trading niftybees, now the price is around 100rs. Just wondering.

Maybe other banks will also follow suit.

Recently icici bank installed CDM across the country, and there are no charges as such.

I just noticed this about the charges by Union Bank of India.

So, if I use my debit card twice a day for shopping/paying for small things like milk/groceries etc., then I have 180 debit entries per quarter and end up paying Rs. 2040 as bank charges + GST !!!

Perhaps it would make sense to have multiple bank accounts.

On Traderji, I request someone to start a thread "Banking Charges Comparison"
@bpr volunteer ?? :D

Yes all the bank has this charge for savings account. If you have too many transaction, better use current account or have multiple savings account or use credit card for shopping and pay the bill from savings account.
