Immediately I dont expect any big appreciation on listing but in next few years Life and Gen insurance companies will be multibaggers...ICICI Lombard may qualify to be amoungst them.....so good portfolio hold in my view.

As disposable incomes of the people increase,they will buy 2 wheelers,cars,SUVs, white goods,spend more on travel in the country and abroad buy health insurances....and the general insurance companies will be direct beneficiaries of "Rise With India"

So far general insurance industry is dominated by four Govt gen insurence companies...but private sector will grab market share from them based on their operational efficiencies...
