Diary of a day trader - Part 2

This is my first job in my life. After passing out from college I was engaged in trading only as I was not having any other work to do. You can call it full time or part time whatever. But it was never a trading for living (I relied on my dad's hotel). Trading for almost 2 years and it was a disaster. I read somewhere in this forum that, one must pull the plug at some point or the other and that is it.

After a year of trading and blowing my account several times I thought that this can't go on. I need a stable job for living, and by god's grace I got one on last Thursday. What a day it was, it's the same day that I got my job appointment letter and it's the same day I made the highest loss in one trade in my trading career.  :p

Anyway I will not quit trading completely. I will trade but occasionally. You know it says, "Once A Trader, Always A Trader" :)
Good luck dear for your new career, and my best wishes are with you. :thumb:

Good decision softy, wish you all the best.

Professional trading is not simple.
Just like playing cricket is easy, but to become a professional cricketer is not easy.
Even in Traderji there are very few full time trader for sure.

Yep, I mean 'trading for living' by using the term 'full time trader.'

Slowly and steadily we are loosing top boarders...
Although I am sad that you are leaving TJ but happy for you.
Do well in job and may someday return back to trading with much better preparation. These are bad times to be in stock markets I am also loosing in my delivery portfolio but the steady income from job keeps me going...
May be you can take a break of 3 months refresh all your learning and then make a fresh comeback....Anyways all the best and keep trading..:D:D:D:D

Professional trading is simple but not easy. One has to learn it like any other profession in life, be it medicine, engineering , law or accountancy.

If you are not cutting it, there is no point breaking our head against a stone wall....good decision of taking up a job so that you can have regular income plus savings for trading capital.

My best wishes to you in your future career path.....

Somebody has already made a killing in the markets today... those who shorted USD yesterday.

Heard on CNBC, the margin requirements for USDINR will increase by 100% from 11th July, and many other restrictions too to curb speculative trading.
