Compatibility with Windows Vista

majority of trading platforms are running well on Windows XP but fail to run on Windows Vista.
If your trading platform runs well on Windows Vista(home premium or basic) please confirm.
I have seen many people who had to get rid of vista to load XP. 2009 onwards Microsoft shall be no longer providing support for XP.
And It is really annoying to go for XP as it is a retrograde step specially for those who have licenced version.

Just curious but are there any trading platforms that work with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu since Ubuntu is free and updated quite regularly.

I am experiencing a problem while downloading "Daily Prices" of stocks from NSEINDIA.COM to Worksheet under Window Vista(Home Prem). The data find places in the worksheet as label, I have to retype those as Number in respecting individual cells for further processing. It is a boring job if you frequently download the prices, volumes etc. from Exchanges. When I used the 'XP Professional', the data downloaded appeared as numbers in individual CELLS and could be processed directly without retyping. Can you suggest me a way out ?

thanks bhulokeshvar,sany,tech2stock for your feedbacks.

What is annoying is after such a long duration application based platforms are not compatible with vista.
are Online brokers still sleeping?

2 operating systems on same system consumes RAM,hard disk and CPU processing power, that results in slower speed which is detrimental for a trader.
