Automated trading

Machines can only execute number of lines that we have given to do. Humans who have developed those lines and machines to do do.
Agreed, but we need to accept that sooner than later they will inevitably substitute us at trading. Emotionless traders are the best.

Robots will replace us if WE want them to do that job for us. After all we have to invent and incorporate algorithms (including algorithms for learning) in automatic software. Key task is still on us.

That was true before the new developing IA tools. I'm afraid they are already been used by high frequency traders. It's a matter of time the take our place on the charts :(

I think that trading algorithms can produce profits in some circumstances. However, market moves are not linear so in many cases there are deviations from rule. Only experienced traders can overcome these deviations and profits from them. Machines are still unable to do that

Trading theory can be helpful at some way but they should be updated as per the market condition and as the time is changing. Nothing is for permanent , changed with time.

One of the options is to independently choose a trader working in the market and configure the program so that it copies its transactions.
