Hello finvasia please post here illustration how you charge penalty in mcx for margin shortfall. Also include if through atom if someone transfer fund before carrying trade then is it considered margin for same day. Post it immediately because I have serious issues.

Hi guys. I want to know if I have transferred fund on trade date will it be added to margin requirement of same date. Is penalty charged is based on shortfall given by broker on margin statement send for trade date or some other rules. This is for MCX. Is penalty to be charged based on this report provided by broker.

Regarding margin calculation, the exchange says

Net Shortfall at EOD = Opening Balance + Funds received + PnL of the day – Overnight margin used
