Britannia : Plans to invest Rs.150cr to expand its manufacturing capacity.

Prajay Engineers Syndicate, a Hyderabad-based construction company, with presence across residential, commercial and hospitality, has raised US $ 60 million by way of a Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds issue in the international markets. The issue was oversubscribed. The FCCB issue is worth roughly Rs 275 crore.

The threat of emerging low cost outsourcing destinations to India could become more real as the government is set to withdraw tax sops being extended to the BPO industry from 2009.

SBI profit 798 cr vs. 1222 cr

Unity Infraprojects has bagged an additional project from Central Public Works Department (CPWD) - Government of India towards construction of Office building for Comptroller & Auditor General (C&AG) of India at Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Marg, New Delhi including internal works, water supply, sanitary installation, HVAC, Lift and other services to the tune of Rs 57.12 crores.

Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd has informed that the Company has bagged two new Orders aggregating Rs 118 cr one from the Govt of Chattisgarh for Rehabilitation and Upgradation of Road (ADB Project) valuing Rs 65 cr and another order from Govt of Madhya Pradesh for construction of Sanjay Sagar Dam Project valuing Rs 53 cr.

Gulf Oil is planning to set up a Biotech or IT park in Hyderabad.

Unichem is likely to set up 2 Pharma SEZs.

BHEL is rumoured to announce a 1:1 bonus & split shares of Rs.10 to Rs.5

Asian Electronics is rumoured to have more than doubled its Q1 net sales (Rs. 59 crores as against Rs. 26 crores)

California Software has acquired 66% in a Japanese company CODEX Co.

Rumour doing the rounds is that M&M is likely to get a very large outsourcing order for components & materials from Navistar, itd JV partner. This could be about US$ 100 million in the next 18 months or so.

Centurion Bank of Punjab may be going in for another acquisition. The buzz is that it is Lord Krishna Bank and the final bid is likely next week.

Jk Lakshmi has hiked cement prices by Rs 5per bag.

got news that a 1:1 bonus will b announced for jay bharat maruti (bse code 520066)....... better buy it for a few days (4-5 days)........ the stock has jumped up from 84 levels to cmp 93.75....... expected more upside in next 4 trading sessions......... ppl jus keep this on the radar..........

anyways, y do v always see kuldeep contributing and not any one of us????
