SH..hello..you said that the same stgy can be applied in intra in 5/15tf..so shall we use the same 15 ema..& same set of bands..or we will to work our some other combo in these lower tfs..

my charts showed new lows at previous days new lows and the next gap up to 15 EMA before making fresh lows ...so SAR 5421

If that is not the case, SAR will stay at 5552.

This is awesome results without GFZ...in a year like 2011 which was not very trending....i assume in years like 2003/4/5/6/7/8/9 where the market was trending the results would be even better?

I am having slight confusion about entry rules. Since this chart was available handy, can anyone please explain the entry points.

Thanks for clarification SH... Below is the chart of DLF 1M future ... as I have marked on 2-Feb, low of the candle was 218.05 and 15 EMA was @ 218.04... so as per rules it did not touch 15 EMA.. so valid SAR would be 210.70... am I right?

As SH suggested, the difference between low and EMA is just 1 paisa... we can consider 218.05 as SAR i.e. if price breaches this point one can close long and enter short.....

SH as per ur sheet short initiated on 11-Jul-2011 @ 5615.. perfect
but for me as per chart, SAR 5515 got hit on 29-Jul-11.. and the trade turns into Long closing short... this going Long trade gave whipsaw and gave 51 point loss...why u didnt u close that position on 29-Jul ???
In ur case u close this position on 29-Aug @ 4888... even for me that is not SAR.. it would be 4970.55 (chart 2)... totally confused now

The SAR 214.20 is breached on 31-Jan by 14:59 candle...if u miss this entry, u can enter on re-entry point... i.e. first green candle after 15 ema touch that closes above 15 ema .. so it could be long @ 214.25 : 1-Feb 11:29 candle with 218.05 as SAR..

But entering on re-entry for fresh trade is as per one's choice... SH has not recommended this...

Techtrader - this depends on what phase the market is going through.... during times of good trends, one single trade can give 200-300 or more points....

I personally trade all my strategies together (swing, 315, market correction prediction) so my personal results may differ.

However if one was to trade this strategy from March last year till now, the person should be sitting on around 3000+ points profit per lot.

SH do you have backtested data for earlier period if we were just to go with SAR based on bull and bear SAR?
