Wonder what these guys are doing with so many screens
Does this mean we are not observing/checking many key data points/stats vital for day trading ?
IMO they using each monitor for each counter/scrip.....so no actions missing in chart...we here switching frequently to see what happen in another counter :D

Yes.. in most cases, multiple monitors help if you are tracking multiple scripts in realtime. But again, its very difficult to track/trade more than 2-3 scripts in intraday in small time frame. So I have no idea wht the traders with 6-8 screens are trying to do :D

keyboard damaged so using external keyboard :D
IF ANY ONE FIND KEY PAD OF LG XNOTE (RD400) KEY PAD PLEASE HELP ME TO GET IT...I TRYED ARROUND ME BUT NOT GOT IT
I have one desktop too but rarely trade on it ...I married to my lap :D
Wow.. really Vintage stuff :D just kidding

On the monitor.. just connecting the secondary monitor won't do the job.. you have to select the function as well. Can do Fn+F7 (could be diff key in diff brand) which will show this.

Just select Extended.. then drag your chart or window whatever you want to display to the 2nd monitor. Other functions are self-explanatory :)

If you don't have Fn+F7 key on laptop/desktop.. then just right click on the desktop and look for screen resolution (win7) or properties and then select from here..

Laptop + Monitor. Though I would love to have an additional desktop but.. for now itz running like dt.. ;) Nothing can beat a good sturdy desktop :)
Dear Manish bro,
Please explain to use external monitor with lap...I treyd it before but what I see in lap same is showing in monitor...Please tell us procedure in step by step :)
Exactly the question I wanted to ask :). Also, how much load does it put on the RAM ?

Anyway, mine, though not the oldest here, may qualify as an ancient one.

And then there's the laptop for when I am out of town.

Can't say but I have 4GB RAM and it runs perfectly..never faced any slow down etc. Apps running are

1. Zerodha NOW
2. Ami + GDFL Feed
3. Some excel files/tool
4. Skype

5. Firefox brower (with TJ/google etc)
6. Youtube

5 & 6 usually when in tight range or not in trade :D
Very controlled use.

My list :

- Sharekhan's TT
- Ztrader
- NOW
- Opera
- Firefox
- Excel
- Notepad

That's the minimum.

So I assume Sharekhan is just for charting.. but why Ztrader & NOW both ? You take trades in 2 diff a/c ? I guess must be on 2 diff a/c coz we can't open Ztrader & NOW both simultaneously.

Also, why firefox as well as opera. 2 browsers.. ??
