Just simple SD (Std Dev), its calculated on BN AV (Hist or Annualised Volatility)

At 15% 1SD = 206pts
todays 18% = 247 pts

I called top at around 250pts, but Nifty showed 3 LL on 5m and therefore cut short at 21898 bcos 21900 becomes strong resistance.

SD says, 1SD will be around 70%(+/-35%) so that's up and down range.
This is general rule for sideways and normal days which are not based on significant event moves.
2SD used for event moves, that 99% of range.

3SD happens when FII loads cargo ships of hdfcbank .
So once you make a decision to exit, you dont look for reentry?

Yes, but probability is very low. like today.
u get 40pt move from exit, then pullback is also 30pt, now again 50pt up.

Basically very choppy so not necessary to re-enter bcos the adds (1st add) already happened 75pt ago.

Trading in the top range will be very choppy, already profited, so why loose some.
Bears shouldn't be underestimated bcos large players have positions on both sides via options.

See now a double top was forming which also shows a breakout possibility
