Charts for the Day

I do not have these 2 yet ...... can I enter now ?
ATH scrips are another favourites of long term trend followers...At every step new set of entrants enter markets...at lows it bottom catchers...in middle swing players playing In/Out...while momentum players lap it up in middle...

You have plan for placing stoploss then yes you can take position...both are well liquid scrips...

GAIL a big PSU stock...trading in sideways in 200-400 band since past 6-years...so need to track this one, of breakout comes in it, it will be a four digit stock...

Till then read the observations on chart, and keep tracking it...
GAIL at 399 ......

I remember reading about you anilji that u trade in cash market..how do ya manage when market is going down then ?
For every stock investments i made i am trailing with stoploss...So until it hits all my stoploss i am invested in them...

It may means loosing 10-15% of returns in the process if calculated from recent highs...but thats the market for you...I dont know its top, infact nobody knows...

So its a zero prediction for me, i am just following what stocks telling..if there are breakouts in my list i will go for it with tight SL...

I will stop committing long term fund once nifty takes down 50 SMA and only go for strong stocks..below 200 SMA i will be sitting out...

Below 200 SMA i will double my Nifty trading...so its only nifty for me once we are below 200 SMA...

Anilji,

How do you decide that a trade would be swing or positional.
Do you follow different timeframes for both?

thanks
At any point of time i can hold maximum 3-4 swing positions...no more than that...that too if capital allocation allowed...

Swing trades for me is pullback in long term uptrend...It may happen i enter swing trade in a stock but if didnt hit SL and moving clean it may shift to positional investment category...

Positional trades are trend following trades purely...and have wider stoploss as compared to swing entries...
