here is the situation, i want to manage my office desktop from my home pc, i dont like team viewer or logmein somethin, as they auto generate different passwords for different sessions & dnt facilitates file sharing, so i installed vnc ultra sw here in my home pc which seems good and free and we connect remote pc by local loop using only ip address.I havent installed it in my office desktop, before that want to know other member's experience on vnc ultra.
1) Is file transfer fast enough in vnc?
2) using ip address means is it more faster than team viewer ?
3) when i m on tour is it easy to run on pc of hotel lobby with very moderate net connection to control my home or office pc?
your experience will be greatly appreciated, i assume there wd be lot of traders who want to remote access their office/home pc to open their trade terminal n execute the trade without getting worried about bringing cumbersome laptop always with u.

alex when I do not have my notebook with me I carry trade tiger software in pen drive it takes minutes to install the software where ever I get a PC to trade.
can you tell me more about VNC,sounds interesting.will try

yes faith odin might be lil heavier than few mbs but problem is with charts & data feeds.Also your reminder files & 11th hour we miss something trivial which is on our home pc ( like i miss my tuned up firefox ) Its huge setup.
well about ultra vnc ( ultra vnc & vnc r different ) .. i checked yesterday its almost what i was looking for, even i watched movie from home pc using ultra vnc ( vnc stands for virtual network computing) sitting right in my office, lag was of micro second, i figure it depends on internet speed, now yet to try handling my home pc remotely using browser ( that skip the installation phase) & how it responds to multiple connections.

Why were you absent for so long frm Traderji. I hardly saw your post these days. I have reduced my activity here as Exams are jumpin on my head and teachers on Revision tests.

CNBC pe aapka dushman aa gaya. Aaj Latha ke saath show kar raha tha. A man above 45's was doin show with Latha.
