Had seen a lot of people request for GTC order type, now that they have introduced similar GTT orders, how many of you here use it?
GTT is not GTC
Zerodha yet again failed spectacularly in providing GTC with poor excuse
GTT is typical over engineered solution which does not address the actual problem.
No sane trader should use it. it is fraught with risks.

The lethargy and incompetence of regulator and exchanges is also paramount :)
GTC should ideally need support from exch.
NSE should plot a milestone map to showcase its new feature/upgrades/and what good they have done to the tech they use/and how it will benefit trading.
instead they're spending months upgrading their website.

you're correct, GTT isn't the same, and they marketed it as a better option is something even i didn't like.
on slight volatile days also, we've seen orders not going through, and highly vola days one needs to keep a suicide note ready.
GTT orders live on their own servers until triggered.

Also, its currently limited to eq-cash segments of NSE/BSE.

Right now I don't really find proper buy setups for deliveries, but i believe it will definitely help retail traders trading with zerodha, as other brokers offering this are full service brokers.

Not sure what risk you're referring to here, can you tell more?
I like the fact that the funds are not blocked until it is triggered.
