Think You Are Poor Soul?

Whenever I stumble some posts by my friends, which shows their desperate support they need to have understand the problems of their investments, trading, and to know what to do further when they see time keeps diminishing their investments and their hopes too,

My feel a pain from my soul, as every member of this forum.

When I was in a situation to write a reply to such a post by a senior citizen, who called himself so, just after writing the post I needed walk. My mind was over elderly people, and their physical and mental health to withstand the tough times...I could see no difference between my father and the person wrote the post.

People play the market for fantasy;
People play the market for adrenaline surge;
People put their hard earned money for future;
People suffer emotional roller coaster while they refine their trading system;
People donate both to the market and to the experts, at times, to self appointed experts
People suffer a mess of information by media;

In my professional career, I have seen many people who I personally know, lost their savings, became bankrupts, lost human relations etc, just for the reason they contribute their wealth and health to maintain the market stay at its own equilibrium.

All of these invited troubles are by ignorance, arrogance, addiction, indecision, confusion, false hopes and illusions.

I know and have history of people who lost their lives in
Day Trading
Derivatives
Short term equities
Long term investment ( a value buy ?!!)

IMO, the time frame or the strategies never hurt one as wrong decisions could.

They lack education, they start over-enthusiastic, they turn prays to evils...the list never ends

Whatever the cause, the result is universal : Human Pain

I was wondering..
Could this thread be a place for one to stay consoled?

Could this thread be a place for one to learn to overcome those pains?

Could this thread be a place where friends around could help each other when they really need a friend?

Could this thread be a place where we would only talk Human and not the markets?

Could this thread be a place for one to wash their pain and renew their mind fresh so that they could see the ray of hope in their life?

I believe it could.

I would never forget Ashisda asked a poor soul to come to his trading room and asked him to do just what he does!! (Sorry for able to mention innumerable members like that)

We do have such a generous hearts around. I believe this thread could be place for one where one could share what he even could with ones family, THE PAIN OF HEARTS.. and I believe every veteran trader around this place could shower them with words of wisdom by giving them a candle to light their life.

They could be lost fortunes, they could be lost their brains, they could be an apprentice who struggles to reach the threshold..

I feel the pain when I imagine the pain one and a family could suffer and I believe Wisdom from our members could bring back light to the life for very few people, if not for every one.

Sometime, I may need this place, seeking your hand to grab

Sure the Holy Grail Exists!!

Though every one of us know a holy grail does not exist, we unknowingly seek such a thing during apprentice period.

The Zen Story that shows the holy grail within us.

"There was once a stone cutter who was dissatisfied with himself and with his position in life. One day he passed a wealthy merchant's house. Through the open gateway, he saw many fine possessions and important visitors. "How powerful that merchant must be!" thought the stone cutter. He became very envious and wished that he could be like the merchant.

To his great surprise, he suddenly became the merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power than he had ever imagined, but envied and detested by those less wealthy than himself. Soon a high official passed by, carried in a sedan chair, accompanied by attendants and escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone, no matter how wealthy, had to bow low before the procession. "How powerful that official is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a high official!"

Then he became the high official, carried everywhere in his embroidered sedan chair, feared and hated by the people all around. It was a hot summer day, so the official felt very uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the sky, unaffected by his presence. "How powerful the sun is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the sun!"

Then he became the sun, shining fiercely down on everyone, scorching the fields, cursed by the farmers and laborers. But a huge black cloud moved between him and the earth, so that his light could no longer shine on everything below. "How powerful that storm cloud is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a cloud!"

Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields and villages, shouted at by everyone. But soon he found that he was being pushed away by some great force, and realized that it was the wind. "How powerful it is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the wind!"

Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, feared and hated by all below him. But after a while, he ran up against something that would not move, no matter how forcefully he blew against it - a huge, towering rock.

"How powerful that rock!" the former Rock (Stone) Cutter thought.

Thanks gsalvadi for starting this thread.
Trading is tough business and all traders go thru pyschological drawdown (more so during market corrections) at some or other time.
Thanks for providing them this platform.

No mental Stop ACTUAL STRICT STOP ,Risk what is bearable,go to next trade without any remorse.Adopt to REVERSE fast.
Mkt respects Price points,today Cairn was faltering at 173.00 & again at 167.00 refusing to go down much.

Direction -> (before entering at what point my present directional trade has to be adieued THUS FAR & NO FURTHER,that point is bearable ,worth taking Risk ? )-> initiate trade-> instantly put STOP-> MANAGE STOP(by feeling the internal dynamics)-> Wait & Wait-> once the Stop is at Entry-> go have coffee -> next trade.

Being with the reality, the core element of art of trading is often hijacked by emotions for many of the traders. I understood this simple fact after years of searching the Holy Grail.
