Real Time Data Now / Nest Trader to Amibroker, Fcharts

hello josh , i installed the utility but i am not able to get the real time data but i am able to backfill the data . when i start the rtd it gives error

Change NOW in terminal settings of RTD,

You will not get CNXNIFTY-1 thru backfill that is RTD v1.25. RTD does not give facility to change original name of scrip or index. It only allows you to add suffix to it or replace FUT with your own suffix. However, original name as shown in "Symbol" column of Market watch or in index watch should not be changed.

Keep the original name "CNX Nifty" in settings.ini (No christening). Create a scrip with that name in Ami. Merge CNXNIFTY-1 with it. Start RTD from RTD v 1.25. You will get real time data as well as backfill with the name "CNX Nifty" as it is in your index watchlist. If you want CNXNIFTY-1 as the name you may try inserting the original name in the "Alias" in Amibroker.

I shall be available during 9:30 to 11:00 tomorrow. Do not tinker with settings or do experiments unless you know what you are doing.

i have not fully read the issue, but try this - Replace the [RTDMan] section in RTD entirely with what you have in Settings.ini in RTDMan.

If that doesnot work, zip your RTD and RTDMan folders and upload it.

Edit - you can do this off market too, as status will show Index as connected if it works

sorry for being naive, not sure i understood correctly

if meant copy the contents of settings.ini file of former standalone NESTRTD.EXE and paste 'em into the settings.ini file of RTD v1.25 in the place of existing contents wherever relevant (mainly [RTDMAN] section) - its already done but did not work.

weird part is status shows topic connected (Reposted herebelow the console window image on my post #181 above)
But CSV file is not taking in CNX NIFTY.

Embarassed to say hvnt uploaded anything (except for a few images thru tinypic.com) so far, so just signed up wid MediaFire -getting acquainted - will post Zipped RTD folders soon.

1) With Nifty index, i have seen this problem of (only) index not updating after few connect-disconnects. When this happens, Excel was not getting updated either. I saw this during development as i did connect-disconnect many times. It is probably Nest bug.

I suggest not to start-stop NestRTD (from RTD ) many times if you have index scrips. Just set it up once and start once a day. Backfill does not need to stop NestRTD. Workaround after index stops was to restart ZT (and NestRTD ofc )

Did you test RTD by running it first (and only once) after ZT startup. Did index still not work? If yes, then ill try to test it later.
Make sure that RTD is not killing and starting NestRTD multiple times.

2) In ini, i think '//' wont work as comments. Not tested though, it may remain harmless since NestRTD is working for you.

Yes Sir its d usual routine,but RTD v1.25 (keep repeating "V1.25" to distinguish it from the the stand alone NESTRTD.EXE, otherwise v1.25 or v1.21 or 1.2 or any other version - none of 'em worked) never worked for Index RT feed, not even once , so no question of connecting/disconnecting.

No Sir RTD is NOT KILLING n Restarting NEstRtd multiple times, to d best of my knowledge.
However noticed dat the standalone NESTRTD.EXE (which works) sometimes stops especially whn i have a look at other programs (like my jealous GF and have to restart it.

changed name to CNXNIFTY-1 very recently ,only after found a working solution wid NESTRTD.EXE, until then was trying all along wid the default name CNX NIFTY, then whn stand alone NESTRTD.exe going well ,decided to name the Index feed from NESTRTD.exe as CNXNIFTY-1 so dat keep trying every morning first wid RTD v1.25 wid it's default name and then finding it is not working (meaning seeing CHART of CNX NIFTY NOT MOVING) ,wud switch to NESTRTD.EXE -- this is my routine & story till 30-4-15 whn most of d contracts expired.
on 1-5-15 morning added all the fresh contracts, and updated scrip list on V1.25 and copy pasted to standalone NESTRTD.exe's settings file and and then copied back again to Settings.ini of V1.25 this time along with the scrip CNXNIFTY-1. and dat were the contents posted here 1st time @post# 181, and then as per ur suggestion changed CNXNIFTY-1 to CNX NIFTY (also merged in Ami) in both the Settings .ini files and hoped dat it wud work in both V1.25 and Standalone NESTRTD.exe {pls note all dis during the Market Hours Today- so i had the chance to check again before posting my sob story -u may pls check the post time whn i posted (post# 192 ,01:34 PM) the modified (as per ur suggestion) seettings .ini contents today } BUT it did NOT WORK for V1.25 (meaning seeing CHART of CNX NIFTY NOT MOVING) so back to NESTRTD.exe again dis time wid the name CNX NIFTY and voila! CHART IS MOVING
