My Swing Trading Diary...!

I have always been a small intraday trader and almost all my attempt at swing trading has failed due to lack of patience and strong desire to micro manage my trades.

This is going to be another attempt at the same.

System has zero micro management and is going to test my character. I have opened a separate account for this trades. I intend to place the buy orders /stoploss / target in the morning before market opens and close the terminal and resume my normal day trading.

This is a trading diary and is just a log of all the trades for my own records. System remains a work in progress and I am in uncharted territory. I wont be discussing the system as such nor distributing the afl. So apology in advance for the disappointment.

I think you are spot on the ability to disregard minor swings, having faith in the system during adverse price movements and an never ending patience is the key to successful swing trading.

let me know the goal of your swing trading in % term on your investment for annum. as i understood form 25 year of market analysis the key to winning is 1) low risk high probability trading system , 2) money managent designed to suite your objective and risk tolarence and the most important 3) trading physcology to adher to your trading plan.

so for clarity reason i am requesting you to post your plan and money mangement guide along with your system dairy to help learn form experts like you.

on prima facis your system looks greate as usual.

I am a intraday scalper and this is just to test myself if I can ever build a portfolio that is worth the effort.

Plan is to split the overall risk into 10 scrips, Trade a single pattern and let law of average take care of the profit. My profit expectation from this is very low and the lack of leverage is making profit / loss look very unexciting. But I am looking at a 6 month evaluation period before i decide to overview the trading plan in a major way.

Money management is fairly simple. I don't chase price. I have a predetermined entry price and once hit... stoploss is my only protection. I have no scaling in - or scaling out of positions. Once price is near target, trailing stoploss becomes aggressive.
