KYC trouble

I am planning to invest in Quantum Gold Fund.

I have recently got my PAN card made from NSDL. The application form for the fund asks for my KYC. I've read about it on Wikipedia.

How do I get my KYC made? Is there one unique KYC for every individual, or does every bank have its own KYC of every customer?

KYC forms are available in sites like AMFI, Karvy, Cams, etc. You can download the same, fill it and submit to any of the offices of Karvy, Cams, etc alongwith copies of PAN, Id proof, address proof, etc. They will send to CDSL and after about 15 days, you will get KYC compliance information. KYC is for every PAN and not for every bank.
