Increase in STT.

#12
Hello Traders,

As we all know a Crap 'Shome Panel' proposed to hike STT and remove STCG Tax. We are already paying a huge STT and it's eating away out profits, and our Govt. is trying to loot us till our last drop of blood.

These proposals of Shome panel will only benefit the FIIs. We have elected such a govt. who gives benefits only to foreigners. If STT is increased then we'll have to pay more for our losses too.

Already there are so many of taxes, STT, SEBI turnover, Stamp duty, Exch turnover, and the sky high service tax of 12.36%. And after paying so much at the end of year if we have a profit we have to pay Income tax. Why so much tax???

One the other side, govt. is trying to increase financial awareness and trying to encourage retail participants. But the question is how do we trade if govt. goes on increasing taxes like this???

move to currency.. no stt:clapping:

Broadband ?? Wireless ?? USB Dongle ?? How's the connection ? What speeds ?? Steady connection ?
It's a CDMA USB Dongle. Speed 3.1mbps. Effective download speed around 300KBps.

Connection is very good. Using it since November 2011, not a single disconnection till date even for a minute. :)

What about YOU???

I've been using my ISP since Feb 2002. It was the only broadband connection available then. Continued with it to date because it still has the best service, though there are down times. Other ISPs have them too here in Surat. I guess you being in a metro city get better connections.

Since last month, my ISP has charged me 8% entertainment tax !! 8% is too much, isn't it, coming on top of 2.4% increase in STT in April.
It seems that the government (?state govt?) levied this from August itself. Any members from Gujarat ? Can you check about your internet bills ?
@ Timepass:

Received my ISP Bill today. No entertainment tax levied. Only Service tax of 12.36%

Maybe your Modi Govt. is charging you 8% entertainment tax.
