Hi Guys

I had upgraded my windows/ formatted my drive and reinstalled windows. But this could happen to any of the members here. For couple of months I was observing that I am getting quotes 10 to 30 seconds late in my chart and and then I found that they were late in the terminal also.

I have set alert for New bar in AFL. My PC would say "New Period" and I would wait for 5 to 30 seconds until Amibroker formed new candle.

I decided to find out why this would happen when I have an 8MBPS connection and I stay in Mumbai. There was no interruption in internet.

I found out that windows synchronises PC time from internet at specified period. The time is synchronised from servers at NIST. All these servers are US based. I found out that there is another institution (NTP) which also is maintaining time servers and these servers are all over the world and they are more accurate. I would rather say that the time shown by these servers is more allied to Indian standard time.

One of the servers is located in India. This server is "0.in.pool.ntp.org"

I directed windows to synchronise time from this server. Now there is only 1-2 second delay between my terminal and my PC time which is acceptable.

Following two links describe how to synchronise your PC time. Just type server name 0.in.pool.ntp.org in the field for server.

If you want to do this as a regular task, here is another link to do it.

My Linux PC seems to be already aligned with Indian time.

Hi, I have been facing a similar problem with Windows 10 & NSE NOW.Exe desktop software. The software lags around 5 secs. If u click F1 to buy, window opens after 4-5 secs. If u click to put the rate, it will show the cursor after 5 secs, if u enter the figures, it will show after 4-5 secs. Till that time the order has passed from the price which u wanted to purchase. I had spoken to my broker's CC team (not IT Team). They had said NSE Now is not compatible with windows 10 (I Don't buy it, if it were not compatible, it should not work at all in the first place.) Software works fine in the 1st 5-10 mins without any problems. If anyone has found any solution to that , pls respond. Thx.
