when trying to enter during break of a particular level (pivot/previous day high or low), should we wait for the candle to close and then take entry or can triggers be kept few points away from the key point.

Sometimes the candle is a very wide range & entering at the close of candle gives a wider stop loss. Waiting for a pullback happens few times, but mostly price moves further thus missing the entry.

On the other hand, if entry is through trigger price, triggers get executed in advance but sometimes candle fails to close above/below the required point hence a wrong entry is made.

please advise.

Thanks

Answer is it depends on Situation..

Like all time high, if I am waiting will wait for breaking out & closing,

But in normal pivot high will go during making of the bar..
