finally got it.. its SHAREKHAN..
Why would you want to base your choice only on charges of demat acc??

If you are a intraday trader then Sharekhan can be expensive in the long term, discount brokers are good for starters for intraday trading (RKSV, Zerodha etc....) they have good services.

But if you are a positional trader then Sharekhan is good, they have a good services and a good charting software too.

@bschandran i would be starting with rs 5000 only. and all the brokers are charging around rs 500-700 which i cannot afford atlest in the beginning.. though i may pay brokerage charge little high..

From what I remember, Sharekhan expects deposit of 25k as a part of offer to give you free demat and trading account. You can withdraw additional funds once cheque is encashed.

Running costs are high but SK contract notes (EOD) are with least amount of errors that I've seen.

Their desktop software is very good
