Crude Oil - 10 EMA Reverse Strategy

#11
How to get Real Time Crude oil in Amibroker.....
No. you cannot get real time data of the previous month now.

You should save the real time data every month in your system. then only, it will be useful for backtesting any strategy.

For last four months, i am saving the real time data in amibroker and also i am writing in the excel sheet separately

If you need to save the real time data, you should use the registered version of amibroker. You cannot save in the trial version

December 54 Trades 311 Points Profit
January 43 Trades 468 Points Profit
February 44 Trades -9 Points Loss
March 27 Trades 526 Points Profit

These backtests have been done in the active contract only.

For example

Active period for the march contract is 19.02.14 to 18.03.14
Active period for the Feb contract is 19.01.14 to 18.02.14
let it see in future......

You can plot 10 EMA in MT4. but you should note the red color line every hour to get the buy or sell signal

if you are able to write the code, you can do it
Nice effort, and your explanation is awesome. Fits your
picture perfectly. :) The results are exceptional. Need to observe
for a little more time to get a clear picture. Have u tried this
on NF or BNF ?

Actually it is suitable to all volatile future contracts

there is more probability to get the good results in nifty. because crude and nifty are four digits product

if i check with silver, it may also be suitable to bank nifty.

anyways, it is better to do separate backtest for nifty and bank nifty. i dont have data for this. because i dont trade NSE

Will be doing the backtest for NF during
the weekend. Since the signals are to
be taken in the reverse order, I think
the cumulative profit also should be
reversed. Was thinking of reversing the
signal in the Ami code, as Umesh had
suggested in post # 6, But feel that
it will be better to keep the signal as
it is and add sell/buy text in the reverse order.
